Refrigerator function: How does the refrigerator work?
The coolant, which is now in a liquid state, passes through the expansion valve and turns into cold gas due to the sudden drop in pressure.

When cold refrigerant gas flows through the refrigerator cabinet, it absorbs heat from the foodstuffs inside the refrigerator. The refrigerant, which is now a gas, flows into the compressor, which absorbs it inside and compresses the particles together to convert it into a hot, high-pressure gas.
Now, this gas travels to the condenser coils (thin radiator tubes) located at the back of the refrigerator, where the coils help dissipate heat so that it becomes cool enough to condense and convert back to the liquid phase. Since the heat collected from the food is transmitted to the surrounding areas through the condenser, it feels hot to the touch.
After the condenser, the liquid refrigerant moves back to the expansion valve, where it undergoes a pressure drop and turns back into a cold gas. Then it absorbs the heat from the *******s of the refrigerator and the entire cycle repeats itself.
